Part Time IT Intern/Support Specialist

The Information Technology Intern/Support Specialist will provide direct technical assistance and support to Broaster Staff for network, PC hardware and software issues. This is a part time position/20 hours per week, with somewhat flexible work schedule.  Equal Opportunity Employer


Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Respond to user requests for service, troubleshoot problems and help develop solutions
  • Support PC hardware components, desktop operating system software, and application software
  • Perform desktop system OS and application setup
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment and arrange for other servicing needs
  • Coordinate equipment service/repair with third party vendors
  • Monitor antivirus software and updates and repair computers infected with spyware, adware and/or viruses
  • Assist in maintaining inventory records and documentation for equipment
  • Securely delete data on PCs

The skills we require:

  • Applicants must have experience with Windows 7/10 in a technical support environment
  • Applicants having experience in supporting recent versions of Microsoft Office Applications including 2013 and 2016 is also a plus
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Candidate must be outgoing, self-directed, a self-starter, and able to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential data
  • Ability to maintain detailed tracking records of equipment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds


We prefer a candidate with a minimum of 1 year IT schooling OR minimum of 2 years related work experience.
